Afternoon darlings! It’s a lovely week with the kids home from school for Thanksgiving break so we’re having lazy mornings cuddling and watching Harry Potter together. It's truly something I've been needing. This week there will not be a post on Thursday, given the holiday, but I wanted to give you some ideas for Black Friday & Small Business Saturday shopping as well as just lovely businesses to keep in mind through the holiday shopping season. I believe that there's enough room for all of us as creatives and I want to give some of the businesses I love most a little extra love and kindness this season. Enjoy! (Note: these were entirely chosen of my own opinion, the owners don’t even know I’m recommending them, and there are a ton of other businesses I love and will recommend in the coming weeks – this is just a start.)
Kelly is a local artisan for me that I found while visiting a fair this past spring. Her cards and handpainted signs are simply beautiful. I’d highly recommend following her Instagram, shopping her Etsy shop, or checking her out at a fair in the Denver area. (We’ll both be at the Denver Jackalope Art Fair on December 10th-11th) I want a sign so badly, but I genuinely can't decide on just one idea haha. It's okay to have 15 different signs in your house isn't it?
I have followed Haleigh on Instagram for a year or so now and just adore every single thing she creates. I could realistically go broke if I bought everything I wanted in her shop, so if I were you I’d go check her out. (Fun fact: If you need to get a gift for a little one or some soon to be new parents, Sweet Sequels has seriously got you covered)
I love embroidery and will probably end up doing a whole round up of amazing shops with embroidery gift ideas but Ruthie from My Trash & Treasure creates seriously adorable pieces. She has wonderful holiday items in her shop right now but she’s definitely someone you’ll want to follow on Instagram to keep up with throughout the year.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
