If you read the blog on Friday (and I recommend it if you missed out) you'll notice I have a little theme going right now. Resiliency.
Resiliency is one of the most amazing facets of humanity. The ability to keep fighting through struggle, to ignore previous failures in pursuit of a goal or dream, to keep fighting in spite of our fears. It's what makes athletes - particularly those in endurance sports - role models for everyone. What makes cancer patients and survivors awe-inspiring. Overcoming obstacles is life at its most earnest.
I feel pretty safe saying that most all of us are going through something right now. If you aren't now you have in the past. Some struggles are harder than others, and getting past them can take any number of days, weeks, months, or even years. But each day that passes is one that gets you a little bit closer to being okay and stronger for it.
I've been through a lot and am still. I won't go into detail today because I don't want the focus on me but the the quality that it takes to keep going each day and working to meet your goals in life regardless of the troubles in your life. You keep getting out of bed. Go to school or work. Do your hustle. Put in maximum effort.
Whether we want them to or not, our obstacles and tragedies shape who we are perhaps more than any other influence in life. Not just of their own existence but the way you respond to them and live your life in the shadow of them.
I know it's hard. I know the days can seem exhausting and impossible to get through. But I swear to God you can do it. Breathe in and breathe out. Keep pushing. You'll be okay. ❤️
